Welcome Week (21st-25th September) is an opportunity for all new students starting in Maynooth University to:
- Familiarise themselves with the University and its various departments;
- Meet new friends;
- Meet your lecturers;
- Explore various subject and programme options (where relevant);
- Learn about the various supports services available to you.

Your stepping stone to success at University
Technology at Maynooth
As a student in 2020, technology will be central to your success at university. To help support your transition to online learning, you are invited to attend three fun group online sessions designed to introduce you to some of the technologies available in the academic environment.
Each session runs for about 45 minutes at 11am, 12pm and 2pm on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday at the same times, accessible on mobile and desktop through Microsoft Teams.
You attend any session by clicking on the link to join. There is no need for you to sign-up or register in advance. You’re welcome to come along multiple times to any topic if you’d like to refresh your learning.
Maynooth Online

Learn how to access your Office 365 college email, access your course content in Teams and Moodle, store your documents and engage with your classmates.
Learn to Learn
12pm
Find out about resources that can assist with notetaking in lectures, with completing your readings, researching and tracking your library searches.
Student Strategies
2pm
Key strategic tools are introduced to help you to manage your timetable, organise yourself and improve your memory with helpful tips and apps.

Don’t worry if you can’t attend a live session. Recordings and materials will be made available on the Maynooth website for review ahead of the start of the lectures.
